Participant Requirements:
- Pre-requisites: None (Automotive electrical experience is helpful)
- A computer with at least two functioning USB drives
- Internet connection with speed to support multi-participant teleconferencing
- Oscilloscope or DVOM
- Ability to attend all instructor-led training sessions

About the Instructor
Dr. Mark Quarto
Dr. Mark Quarto is a Vehicle Electrification expert with over 30 years in the automotive industry. In addition to being an instructor and special consultant to FutureTech Auto, Dr. Quarto is the founder of Quarto Technical Services (QTS), which provides engineering services, diagnostic equipment, training, technical support, and consulting in Vehicle Electrification to all facets of the automotive industry.
Responsibilities include design and development of: diagnostic test equipment & software, management and technical education, curriculum and training programs, and technology innovations with solutions focused on Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Propulsion and Energy Management Systems. These unique diagnostic techniques and applications are effectively used globally supporting automotive aftermarket businesses.
Other professional experience includes 28 years at General Motors Company with the last 16 years dedicated to Advanced Vehicle Engineering and as an Engineering Group Manager. Responsibilities included management, development of control and diagnostics systems, and service solutions for the Chevrolet Spark, Chevrolet Volt, Fuel Cell, Two-Mode Hybrid, Parallel Hybrid Truck (PHT), EV1 Electric Vehicle, S10 Electric Truck, and Alternative Fuel Systems Programs. Prior 12 years included Service Training Development Manager and Resident Instructor in the technical training environment.
Specialized Education includes a Doctorate in Technical Education from Nova Southeastern University, specialized in design, development, and technical education systems for hybrid and electric vehicles including high voltage energy and propulsion systems. Master’s Degree and two Bachelor Degrees all are in the areas of Electrical Engineering and Automotive Technology.
